Rolando Borges Martins, commissioner general for Portugal's participation at Expo 2010, wished a successful Expo 2010 when interviewed by Chinese media on Thursday.
Many countries have been in busy preparations for Expo 2010 and he believed that Expo 2010 will be a huge success, said Martins.
Portugal will spare no efforts in participating in the event, he said. The Portugal Pavilion cost 3 million euros (US$4.08 million), occupying 2,000 square meters of building space, he added.
This country will use Expo 2010 as an opportunity to showcase its glamour, promote its tourism and introduce promising projects such as renewable energy, said Martins.
A committee in Lisbon is in charge of Portugal's participation in Expo 2010 and the theme for its participation is "Portugal, a plaza to the world and Portugal, a whole world of energy."
The Portugal Pavilion is expected to finish in early April, he added.
