Experts talked about environment protection, responsibility and young people during a seminar at London's UBPA Pavilion yesterday.
Experts shared their views on environmental ideals, policies, projects, actions to achieve low-carbon outcomes and energy saving. They also answered questions from the audience members, largely university students.
Dan Dudek, Environmental Defense Fund's chief economist, Ramon Pichs Madruga and Youba Sokona, co-chairs of Working Group 3 at the Twenty-Ninth Session of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Thor Boe, Canadian environmental protection expert, and Xia Kejia, vice secretary of China Communist Youth League Shanghai Committee, attended the seminar.
A project was also announced to invite 100 eminent figures from all walks of life at home and abroad to act as mentors to students and pass on their knowledge and experiences to university students and young people.
The seminar was organized by the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, China Communist Youth League and China Youth Daily.
