KATHMANDU, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- China, an economic giant in the world, possesses a well thought of plans before it commences any work, said a senior Nepali journalist in an interview with Xinhua on Wednesday.

Regarding the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Binod Bhattarai, general secretary of Center for Investigative Journalism in Nepal said, "The visionary leaders in China plan thoughtfully before they proclaim any scheme."

He added that this is how China's development is surging successfully.

He lauded the gradual working process in China whether it is political or economic. "It seems like we (Nepalese) work first and then think later on the policies and decision we gripped," Bhattarai compared Nepal's process of adopting policy decision with China.

"In China, they seriously think on planning and goal setting before bringing any policies and systems into action," he said comparing Nepal's political development with China. Nepal's leadership can assimilate the gradual process of development either in economical reform or in politics in China, he added.

Nepal shoves policies and changes without preparing and contemplating impacts which later become sporadic, he said.

During the Beijing Olympic in 2008, people from all walks of life in the country took the event as an opportunity, Bhattarai said lauding the coordination between policy makers and general public in China.

"Not only have the government and the policy makers, but also the general public engraved pride and commitment on what they decide to do", he added.

Though China has achieved soaring heights leading the world economy, it is adopting process step by step both in political liberalization as well as economic reform. They move gradually and are stable, Bhattarai said.

"Process of transportation and communication has begun in satisfactory level between the two countries (China and Nepal) in recent days. Nepalese students applying for higher education in China is increasing day by day, trade exchange between two countries is also increasing," he said.

"Our policy makers should understand the fact that Nepal can be benefited abundantly if we adopt favorable policies to invite China who has huge sum of money to invest," he said. "But for that we need a stable politics in the country and review certain policies in specific industries."

Bhattarai who used to write for Financial Times of United Kingdom said, "We need to understand the interest of our neighbors to get benefit of our interest from them, we have very less understanding about China. We need to upgrade our understanding with China first," he stressed.
