BEIJING -- The Chinese mainland's chief Taiwan affairs official Wang Yi met with a delegation of the Chinese Kuomintang Party's (KMT) Youth Work Association here on Monday.

Wang, director of the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, said that with the joint efforts made by people from both the mainland and Taiwan, cross-Strait relations have achieved remarkable progress.

He urged youth from both sides to have more exchanges and communication, so as to contribute more to the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations.
