BEIJING -- The Third Strait Forum will be held in Xiamen City of southeastern China's Fujian Province from June 11 to 17, said a mainland official on Wednesday.

The unofficial forum will focus on grassroots exchanges across the Strait, said Fan Liqing, spokeswoman of the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, at a press conference here.

The Chinese mainland and Taiwan held the first Strait Forum in Fujian in 2009 and second such forum was held in 2010.
