For the first time, a Taiwan company has gone public on the Chinese mainland's A-share market.
Spokesman for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, Li Weiyi said Wednesday in Beijing that Taiwan companies have been allowed to list in the mainland's A-share market since the end of 2001.
He hopes more Taiwan companies will follow suit following this public listing.
