The initial issuance of China In Flourishing Age, the world's first gold newspaper published by Economic Daily, was inaugurated in Wangfujing Xinhua Bookshop last week.
The 20-page collection is made of 24k gold with nanotechnology and focuses on the past ten sessions of the National People's Congress and the People's Political Consultative Conference, recording the prosperity of Chinese cultural, social and economic development.
The 160,000-word newspaper is a memento for the 20th anniversary of Economic Daily, with two editions: Collector's Edition and Deluxe Edition. 1978 sets of the Collector's Edition and 1949 sets of the Deluxe Edition have been published, with a respective space of 16,000 square centimeters and 39,000 square centimeters. The collection has been recorded in the Shanghai Great World Guinness Book.
The rare newspaper has been collected by the National People's Congress, the National Museum and the National Library. |
