| Lei Feng Memorial Hall reopens in his hometown |

A renovated Lei Feng Memorial Hall has opened in the model soldier's hometown in central China's Hunan Province.
The total area of the memorial is now 94 thousand square meters.
There are more than 400 items on display including the diary he kept and over 20 precious pieces collected from his friends and comrades.
Additionally, some works, such as sculptures, paintings and calligraphy dedicating to the memory of Lei Feng will also be on display.
Lei Feng, the model of wholehearted service to the people, died in 1962 at the young age of 22.
