| CCTV brings Oscar night to China |

Each year, the Academy Awards ceremony attracts worldwide attention by honoring Hollywood's best movie－makers and actors. To meet the demand of Chinese movie fans, China Central Television's movie channel sent its own crew to tape the stellar night at the Kodak Theater.
The CCTV crew was there as the stars took to the red carpet. They were one of the 12 media organizations authorized to cover the show. CCTV Movie Channel plans to broadcast the ceremony for four and a half hours during prime time on the night of Mar.1, just hours after the huge event draws to a close. Dozens of senior translators and movie researchers have taken part in the broadcast, which will be subtitled in Chinese. |
