China Central Television is getting ready to film China's best-known fairy tales: the Treasure Lotus Lamp and Madame White Snake.
The first shows take stories from the Treasure Lotus Lamp and Madame White Snake. The two are expected to hit TV screens early next year.
Each episode has a strong story line, with the screenwriters adding many vivid elements.
CCTV turned the classic novel Journey to The West into a TV series in the 1980s.
The show was well received by audiences at home and abroad and still gets occasional reruns. |
