The Forbidden City in Beijing will offer complimentary tickets to group-visits of elementary and middle school students nationwide every Tuesday, starting next month.
The preferential policy does not include some special areas within the home of China's Emperors for around 500 years.
And the tickets should be booked at least five days before the visit.
The move is hoped to arouse students' curiosity, an important part of their education.
In recent years, more and more museums have, in varying degrees opened to students free of charge.
At the end of last year, 16 of Beijing's museums simultaneously announced free admission for students. |
