Actress Liu Xiaoqing will take part in a gala show in Shanghai this Saturday. The event will mark her first public appearance since she was released from jail three months ago, having been accused of tax evasion.
The gala is to celebrate Shanghai's successful bid to host the 2010 World Expo.
Nearly 100 entertainers from the mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan will perform at the show, including superstars Michelle Yeoh, Karen Mok and the cancer-stricken Anita Mui.
Liu Xiaoqing is reportedly vacationing in Beijing, taking a break after starring in several TV series. She has tried to stay out of the media spotlight since her release in August. |
