A recent survey shows the distribution of a rare species of highland antelope unique to China, the Procapra Przewalskii, has expanded significantly.

The Chinese government has taken effective measures to save the rare antelope, establishing a 300-sqare kilometer natural reserve and conducting an artificial breeding program.

The Procapra Przewalskii lives on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, mainly in the Qinghai Lake basin area.
