Huang Xingchu "first case of atypical pneumonia sufferer in China" suffered ever so hard a hardship and wrongs during the three months after he quitted from the hospital. A lot of gossips and guesses in society have not only made him, a renowned chef of bygone days, lost his job but also borne the heavy pressure from all walks of life in society.
May 23, Huang Xingchu once said to have recovered from hospital and lost mysteriously, made his appearance under the escort of his family members in the General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Zone, and facing bravely the media, he said, "I haven't got lost!"
At 21:00 o'clock on the 17th of last December, Huang Xingchu, aged 34, a serious sufferer of atypical pneumonia of Heyuan, Guangdong, was sent to the General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Zone. At that time Huang had a high fever of 39.8¡æ with difficulties for breath and turning blue all over. After a careful treatment and nursing for 23 days Huang recovered and went out of the hospital alive and kicking.
During the ensuing three months after his quitting from the hospital Huang Xingchu suffered a great deal of hardships and wrongs never encountered in his life before. The gossips and hearsay have not only rendered the famous chef of the past lost his job but also borne the great pressures from all walks of life in society. Unknown persons often went to Huang's home, questing about the case and as often his family got some calls nobody knew for what and from where. This has made his grand parents of over 80 years old to suffer greatly, not knowing what had happened to his grandson and so later on whenever they saw somebody come to look for him would hide in a corner sobbing stealthily.
Huang Wenjie told the media, Huang Xingchu is a sufferer of atypical pneumonia who was only the first to report the case in China. It is a totally different conception from the one, who was the first to have acquired the atypical pneumonia. The Heyuan City made a report of the case to the above. Huang thus became the one who was the first reported sufferer of the atypical pneumonia in the country and even though you couldn't attribute all grudges for the happening of the atypical pneumonia onto him alone. This is totally unfair for him. People should have more understanding and leniency towards the atypical pneumonia sufferer. Huang Wenjie also told the media, since Huang Xingchu got out from the hospital on January 10 he has all along been making a follow-up investigation of his health and found that the lobes of his lungs are quite clear. He can still carry a thing of over 50 kilos now as did in the past.
In order to pump Huang Xingchu up, the General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Zone invited him to be a supervisor over the "medical ethics and style of work in the hospital" in line with the suggestion of Huang Wenjie. And the medical personnel of the respiratory section of the hospital who provided him with treatment and care offered him donations voluntarily.
"I owed a great deal to the General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Zone and to Huang Wenjie, the director too," said Huang Xingchu: "They have not only saved my life but also offered me a great spiritual support when I was landed in a difficult plight." Accompanied by his brother-in-law Huang Xingchu came to the General Hospital on May 23 and said bravely to the media, "I haven't got lost!" and promptly donated some 150cc blood plasma on the spot.
As learned, on the day when Huang Xingchu made his appearance before the media under the accompaniment of Huang Wenjie many people and units expressed that they were willing to offer Huang Xingchu a job and some even would like to help him in bringing up the three children.
