The Ministry of Science and Technology announces it has developed a new batch of articles to protect against SARS. 

The articles include protective clothing, face masks, head masks, ambulances and a quarantine module for SARS patients.

The designers say, apart from ensuring safety, they choose light materials with high permeability for the clothing and masks so the front-line medical workers can be comfortable when wearing them.

These new items are soon to be tested in some SARS designated hospitals in Beijing
