The Japan-China Friendship Association has called on the Japanese to give donations to support China's fight against SARS.  

The organization has decided to donate 6,000 face masks and 3,000 pieces of protective clothing to a Beijing hospital and the Hitachi company is planning to donate 10 X-ray machines worth around 600 thousand US dollars to China.

The Italian government says it appreciates China's effort in the fight against the SARS epidemic, and calls its people not to be afraid or host hostility towards Chinese in the country.

The Australian government is to allot more than 2 million Australian dollars in its new fiscal year to strengthen the quarantine work at airports. 　　

So far, 6 SARS suspected cases have been reported in the country.
