BEIJING -- Taiwan investigators on Tuesday continued their probe into the fatal shooting of a Taiwan fisherman. On the second day after their arrival at Manila, they viewed a key video of the incident, and inspected the Philippine coast guard vessel involved.

On Tuesday, Taiwan investigators viewed a two-hour video of the shooting. An official from the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office in the Phillippines said the video was helpful, but refused to make additional comments, as the investigation is still ongoing.

"We will try to finish it as soon as possible. All activities are going on as scheduled," said Andrew Lin, an official from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines.

The investigators went aboard the Philippine coast guard vessel involved in the shooting. They inspected the vessel, made measurements and took photographs. They also examined where guns could have been erected on the deck.

The Taiwan investigators will have the opportunity to speak to the Philippine coast guard personnel on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Taiwan has not lifted the 11 sanctions on the Philippines, which has brought heavy losses to its tourism industry. The Air Pacific of the Phillipines confirmed on Tuesday that the Cebu-Taipei flight, set to open on June 5th, has been postponed because of Taiwan’s red tourism warning to the Philippines.
